MARIE CRECCA-ROMERO STEPPING DOWN

Thank you to Marie Crecca-Romero for her outstanding contributions to the Transition to College program for the last 21+ years! The effects of this program continue to ripple out as we hear back from students who have gone on to pursue degrees in higher education at CCRI and beyond. We are so grateful for Marie's dedication to each and every student and in helping them reach their goals.

To all my friends, students, and colleagues,


After twenty plus years, I have made the very difficult decision to step down as director of the RIRAL Transition to College Program although I plan to stay involved at RIRAL and will continue to teach.  

It has been a great honor to have served in this capacity for so many years.  I treasure the opportunity to have taught so many wonderful students and to watch them reach their education, career, and life goals.  

Thank you to my colleagues who have encouraged and supported me throughout my tenure as director.  RIRAL TTC will continue to serve students, so please continue to support the program and refer new students to this great opportunity.  As so many students have shared, TTC was a major part of their journey that put them on the right path.  

With a warm welcome, Kathy Potter will step into the role of RIRAL Work, College, and Career Coordinator.  She has great experience, especially in the career field. I know she will continue to support and encourage our students, as she acclimates herself into her new role.
