SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES

PURPOSE:  To provide financial support to current Transition to College graduates entering college.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:        Before the end of the current semester.

AMOUNT OF REWARD:               $300

PRESENTATION OF AWARD:    After review of final grade of CCRI class

ELIGIBILITY:   Enrolled in a degree/certificate program and registered for next class.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:  Conducted by a panel of adult education professionals. 

CRITERIA: Qualified scholarship recipients’ selection shall be based on a 4 point scale rubric (excellent, good, fair, poor) using the following requirements:

• Applicants must have maintained a 2.5 G.P.A. in the Transition’s sponsored CCRI course.

• Applicants must have received a Transition to College Certificate of Completion (2.5 G.P.A.)

• Applicants must demonstrate potential to succeed, leadership, and successful participation in all Transition to College classes and workshops.

• Applicants must complete the Scholarship Application, including a brief statement on Goals and Aspirations.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must provide confirmation of college enrollment prior to payment of the scholarship.

• Applicants will be asked to give permission for their academic records to be accessed.

• Recipients will be expected to give permission for their profiles to be posted on the TTC web-site.

• Recipients will be required to write a “thank you” letter to the Scholarship Review Committee.
